About Eduardo

He is a partner at APOYO Finanzas Corporativas, Oaklins’ member firm in Peru. His corporate finance experience ranges from advising on M&A transactions to leading companies’ equity restructurings. He has advised clients across a variety of sectors, with a focus on the financial services, retail and healthcare industries.

Over the last few years, he has led more than twenty (20) transactions in different sectors, such as: the fairness opinion to Grupo BVL for the regional integration with Bolsa de Colombia and Bolsa de Santiago; the restructuring of a US$65 MM debt for San Fernando; the advisory to Macrocapitales on the sale of it stake of Hass Peru to the controlling shareholders of the Company for US$21.0 million; the advisory to Todinno in the sell-side process to Molitalia; the advisory to Talma in the acquisition of LASA Servicios Aeroportuarios from Colombia; the advisory to the shareholders of Criocord and Lazo de Vida in the sell-side process to CryoHoldco from Mexico; the advisory to Grupo El Comercio in the sell-side of Instituto de Educación Superior Tecnológico Privado Red Avansys to Laureate Education Peru; advisory to the 101 shareholders of Clínica Ricardo Palma (CRP) in selling a 50% stake to Quirónsalud (healthcare industry); the advisory to Grupo TDM in the acquisition of Polytex’s geomembrane operations in Peru (manufacturing sector); the advisory to Química Suiza, the shareholders of Peruvian Mifarma, on the acquisition of Boticas Arcángel (retail sector); advisory to the shareholders of Skanska del Peru (Skanska AB) in the sell-side process to Confipetrol Group (engineering services industry); advisory to the shareholders of Liderman Group – J&V Resguardo and J&V Alarmas (security sector) in the sell-side process to Carlyle PE investment fund; advisory to the shareholders of El Comercio Group in the buy-side process of Epensa Group (media sector); advisory to IPAE in the sell-side to Intercorp in the Escuela de Empresarios de IPAE (education sector); advisory to the shareholders of Industrias Teal in the sell-side  process to Alicorp (consumer and food industry); an advisory for the shareholders of Clínica San Miguel de Piura in the sell-side to Rimac Seguros (healthcare sector), amongst others.

Prior to joining APOYO in 1994, Eduardo worked for the economic studies division at the Central Bank.

Education

He has a BSc in Economics from the Universidad Pontificia Católica del Peru and a master’s in economics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
